Did you know that the word "health" originally came from the word "whole"? When you have health, you feel whole--physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
It's not always so easy to get yourself feeling whole, though. The stresses of life--especially during your teens--can be enough to make you feel totally split into pieces!

Get active to relax!
It may be surprising, but one of the best ways to relax is through exercise, sports, or other vigorous physical activity. That's because it burns off the adrenaline that your body produces when it is stressed.
In our society, much of our stress happens in sedentary (sitting) situations, such as school, an office, or a car. When the adrenaline levels in your body increase, your body wants to MOVE!
However, in many stressful situations, you are not able to move your body--you're stuck in your seat for the duration of your class or shift. Exercise helps to
lower your adrenaline, funneling it into its original purpose: keeping your body active, moving, and focused. Even if you exercise hours after being stressed, it still helps
your well-being immensely. So if you're feeling stressed, why not take a walk or a jog? Your body and mind will thank you for it.
